It seems the advent of netbook has gotten the consumer by storm and is a popular choice by many young users who uses the Internet plenty and wants mobility with their portable devices.

Netbook if you’re clueless is are light weight and low cost laptops, primarily used for Internet based services. They are also known to be more energy efficient and kinda like a subnotebook PCs.

Now there is rumors that Apple might jump on the netbook industry bandwagon and slug it out with other popular brand such as ASUS Eee PC 900 and Dell Inspiron Mini 9.

Some say the Macworld Expo 2009 will be the place for such announcements, if Apple will produce their own netbook.

I would think and am sure that Apple would have to particular consider such a move as netbook sales in Q3 of 2008 shows it overtook iPhone sales by 900,000 units and sales is set to increase up to 50 million by the year 2012.

It’s a profitable business venture from the looks of forecast figures.
