A co-branded Netpal netbook Asus MK90 and MK90H by Asus and Disney was recently launched and created for kids aged 6 to 12 years old. For a retail price of $349.99 and to be in stock and stores by late July, these cute netbooks is a great shopping list for your young ones. The netbook themes is customizable where the kids can chose their favorite Disney films and characters for the skin. It is designed to be kid-proof and kid-friendly with features such as spill-proof keyboard and ShockShield protection if the netbook is dropped. The specs for the netbook includes Disney-branded media-management software (Disney Mix), photo software (Disney Pix), games, widgets, Intel Atom N270 processor, 1 Gbyte of DDR2 RAM and 8.9-inch LED-backlit screen with a 1,024-by-600 resolution. The ASUS MK90H offers a 160-GB spinning drive, while the MK90, exclusive to Toys ‘R’ Us, will have a 16-GB solid-state drive. Both model feature a VGA port, 3 USB ports, an Ethernet jack, audio-out and Mic-in, a multi-card reader, a 0.3-megapixel webcam, 802.11 b/g/n and 5 hours of battery life. The MK90H weighs in at just over 2.6 pounds and the lighter MK90 is only 2.2 pounds thanks to its SSD. Both run Windows XP Home. Kid-proof or not, I want the above feature too for my netbook, but I would like it to be termed clumsy-proof for the adults. Reserve your ‘Asustek Disney netbook’ at Amazon Online
