captcha

We all know spam is the most annoying thing one could ever face when you’re online be it being a blogger, webmaster, and user.

So Google is testing a new image orientated CAPTCHA method where instead of identifying the letters, humans need to orient an image so it’s upright.

This is the latest variation of Captcha, also known as “completely automated public Turing test to tell computers and humans apart”.

I think this is a nifty idea as we humans have no problem identifying whether an image is upright or not, but computers will have a harder time.

“This task requires analysis of the often complex contents of an image, a task which humans usually perform well and machines generally do not.” as describe by Google in their image-orientation technique paper.
