Halo Legends

I know this ain’t gadget related, but I’m excited at the news of an upcoming anime film Halo Legends. You all play the game Halo right? The kickass Master Chief and his AI compadre Cortana.

Well the game created by Bungie and owned and published by Microsoft Game Studios will have a life to it when it is made into a series of seven short anime films. This was just announced at the Comic-Con 2009 by Microsoft.

It will be financed by 343 Industries and five Japanese production houses working on it are Bones, Casio Entertainment, Production I.G., Studio 4°C, and Toei Animation.

The anime will have traditional animation and CGI. From the seven short film, there’s one series call Codename Duel where it will explore the hierarchy of the Covenant’s Grunts. The origin of the Spartans will be broken into two parts and other parts includes focusing on different facets of the Halo universe.

Japanese voice actors will be used, casting has not be finalised and each episode will feature a different cast.

Halo Legends will debut next year around early 2010 on the DVD and Blu-ray.
