November 30th, 2008 in Intelligent Buildings, Nokia by Uncle Sha
Nokia is moving into the realm of homes where its Nokia Home Control Center will enable to control smart home technologies via your mobile phones. With a touch of a button from your handphone you could adjust room temperature to configure your security systems. Intelligent house technology is on the rise and Nokia wants to jump on the bandwagon. The Nokia new venture has proprietary technologies enabled meaning third parties are allowed to develop their own mobile apps on top of Nokia platform. Nokia Home Control Center will be part of Nokia’s home offering. The solution will be demonstrated at the Nokia World event in Barcelona, Spain, on December 2-3, 2008 and is expected to become commercially available by the end of 2009.
