March 8th, 2009 in Memory Card, Pretec by Uncle Sha
It is the size of your usual thumbnail SSD card, but it packs a punch. Pretec is the first to launch the world first ever commercial SDXC card with 32GB and 64GB capacity. Aside from this, Pretec also launched their 666x CompactFlash card and 100GB CF card with 233x speed. It will be released later this year and no hint of the price as of yet. I’m pretty excited at the SDXC standard which claims a maximum capacity of 2TB, with read/write speeds of up to 104MB/s. And this Pretec SDXC card is just a start and the tip of an iceberg what the technology can do. Expect other companies out there to follow-suit and out-do each other.
