Kodachrome film

You know those camera roll films that we used while were using our old-school cameras, well Kodak has decided to stop the Kodachrome film production.

It marks the end of an era of still-photo eh. I sure had plenty of fun, more like issues when handling those flimsy camera-rolls, especially trying putting it into the camera. haha.

Kodak it seems will retire its Kodachrome film, citing, its near commercial relevance.

Mary Jane Hellyar, president of Kodaks Film, Photofinishing and Entertainment Group was quoted, “The majority of today’s photographers have voiced their preference to capture images with newer technology – both film and digital.”

Sales of Kodachrome film only account for 1 percent of still-photo (that is, not including movie film and all the digital equipment) sales.

There’s only one lab on Earth that still processes Kodachrome, so what’s the point right.
