If you want more power and speed for your computer, well Intel Corporation has just launched the Intel Core i7 processor.

Dubbed the most advanced desktop processor ever, using Nehalem processor designs, your video editing, gaming and Internet speed usage and PC consumption is much more faster and efficient by some 40% than current Intel top end processors, as claimed by Intel.

The new Core i7 processor doubles the memory bandwidth of previous Intel ‘Extreme’ platforms and the Intel Quickpath Technology makes it possible for high speed transfer of computer bits and bites within the processor.

There’s some 8 MB level 3 cache and three channels of DDR3 1066 memory per core and the overspeed protection is removed. So you’re on your own now eh and can’t blame Intel anymore if you want some meddling.

But this new processor will set you back by some $284 for the lower end chip while the top end range cost $999.
