When I looked at my rising Sing Power bills, I couldn’t help find myself helpless. Well I’ve tried all means to ’save’ power around the house, but still there was a cost surge monthly. I don’t even have an air-conditioner or use luxurious electrical appliances
Then I read an article where home users are harnessing the power of the solar. Owners fixes solar panels outside their house, and this homes are tied into the local power grid. When solar power are tapped, converted and will be sold to the utilities company. Owners could even debit this solar power from their bills
It may not be the ultimate solution to our rising cost of living here in Singapore, but I think its a great idea to bring the cost down or even making money out of it. And we’ll be doing our part saving environment too. But I don’t think we’ll see this idea anytime soon in Singapore. I don’t think the government would want solar panels sticking out of the HDB flats
It may even look ugly with the solar panels sticking out like a sore thumb but its still a feasible idea. Anyone?
