A computer virus known as Conficker, Kido, or Downadup has so far reported infected 15 million Windows PCs world wide. It is said this is the biggest virus attack for years, and experts says in theory it could hit 350 million PCs if one does not protect their computers. Its method of infection includes by surfing malicious sites to transfer of data via portable memory sticks. My advise before plugging into a USB thumb drive, turn AutoRun off. There’s a current Windows patch for this virus. Download Microsoft Security Update MS08-067 (KB958644) There are no patches for XP and XP SP1 users as the support for it has expires … so that sure sucks.
