    hi,

nice theme. i’m using this theme on my site.

    wanna ask you something :

    a. what plugin you use to show archive page?
    b. to use twitter plugin, which folder we need to chmod? and what i need to write the cache folder directory when i installed the site using addon domain?
    c. your comment template look different. how can i get them?

    • Uncle Sha says:

      Hi

      a. I use SRG Clean Archives plugin

      b. the folder location is really up to you. any names if you wish, just as long you updated the settings with the right folder name. CHMOD it 777. Addon domain is sub-domain or a new folder? If sub-domain, you’ll need to install a new WP & the twitter plugin as I don’t believe you can link one WP install to a domain and sub-domain together.

      c. oh sorry about that, I forgot to update the theme. replace the following comments tag in style.css

      style.css
      /* – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - -

thanks sha for the help. i found out the answers just before you back to me. but really thanks.

erm, btw i got error with the post thumb plugins. i tried to deactivate and reactivate the plugin to remove the data from my database. but it’s still they. you know how to fully remove the plugin data from database coz i already made some change to the setting and i want to reset them all.

you use post thumb widget or hard coded for the flickr thing?

        • Uncle Sha says:

          1. the only way to remove the db is by looking into your phymyadmin. you got access to it? anyway why you need to do that btw if you gonna reuse the plugin again. i think you’ve problems with the thumbnail image sizes right? Well if the new settings ain’t displaying on your site, just remove the thumbnail folder, and create a new one. then go to settings and update the new options.

          2. i use hard coding, not much of a widget man myself. I’m old-school :)

          cheers

  4. od3n says:

    hello there,

    • Uncle Sha says:

      Thanks

  6. Shiz says:

My comments don’t show in the recent comments in the footer.. can you help me out?

    • Uncle Sha says:

Hmm my guess is that your WordPress version doesn’t support that recent comments plugin perhaps?

      What version are you on?

      • Shiz says:

I’m using Wordpress 2.7.1, even the category in the footer don’t update when I add another category.. what version of wordpress you’re using? Thanks!

        • Uncle Sha says:

          That’s weird.

I’m using WordPress v2.7.1 too. This blog runs on it, using this gadget theme with no problem.

As for the recent comments problem, you can try other comments plugins. It’s just a simple replacing my recent comment codes with the new ones. I don’t know what’s the problem, I’m clueless.

As for the category problem, open up footer.php, find the PHP code “list_cats”. Did you happen to exclude any categories in the parameters?

Also are you using any cache system? It might not display the latest changes to your theme, but showing an old cache.

          • Shiz says:

Thanks! I’ve solved it,, maybe its the wp-supercache (I removed it).

            1. But I got another prob, in about me page, when I update my bio, it doesn’t display in the “About”, its blank.

            2. In Insert 336×280 ads , I’ve edit the ads in page template, but still the same “Insert 336×280 ads”, even though I’ve changed it.

  7. Uncle Sha says:

    Shiz:

    1. The profile, just update your blog “description” in the Settings > General.

    2. Open up single.php & page.php. Replace Insert 336×280 ads with your code

As for the wp-supercache, just turn it off while you’re updating the site. After you’re done, turn it on, and remove the old cache just to be sure.

  8. Shiz says:

I’ve figure it out. Thanks for your help uncle sha!
This is really a nice theme! ^_^

  9. Shiz says:

I got a last question about the flickrRSS, on how you set the plugin to get pics in own blog, and not in flickr website..? so that when I click it, it will go directly in my post with that pic..

    • Uncle Sha says:

Actually there’s no such plugin to my knowledge, but if there is, do inform me.

The section under photo flickr at this blog are actually thumbnails from images i uploaded in my entries.

Each time a page is loaded, it randomly shows the thumbnail pointing to the entries.

If you want to do the following like me

      1. open up sidebar.php

      2. replace <?php if (function_exists(‘get_flickrRSS’)) get_flickrRSS(); ?>

      3. with <?php the_random_thumb(‘SHOWPOST=1&LIMIT=9′); ?>

  10. Haidir says:

Great job! i like it…Thank You..

  11. vhinle says:

what should i do if i got this error?
Fatal error: Call to undefined function the_thumb() in D:\xampp\htdocs\xampp\OPCM\wp-content\themes\padaba\index.php on line 10

    sorry im a newbe…^_^
