As of today, the Internet or World Wide Web is 20 years old and 1 day old.

On March 13th 1989 a software consultant named Tim Berners-Lee wrote a memo proposing a global hypertext system.

The idea was borne out of frustration with existing information management practices.

And we have to thank him for his wonderful invention, which was deemed a side project then by his boss.
