Symantec Corp has discovered that Trojan makers has successfully once again infiltrate Adobe Acrobat Reader, a software application developed by Adobe Systems Inc.

All version of PDF files are vulnerable to a Trojan attack where malicious code named Trojan.Pidief.E, is said to target corporate executives.

The Trojan has a “Very Low” risk rating, but IT security experts says it could get worse.

Adobe official response

A critical vulnerability has been identified in Adobe Reader 9 and Acrobat 9 and earlier versions.

This vulnerability would cause the application to crash and could potentially allow an attacker to take control of the affected system.

There are reports that this issue is being exploited.

Adobe expects an update by March 11th.
