U.K. Internet watchdog group has lifted the ban on Wikipedia.

This all stems from a Wikipedia page about Scorpion’s 1976 album “Virgin Killer” which has an image deemed ‘child porn’ by the Internet Watch Foundation (IWF) after receiving a complaint.

The photo in question showed a young girl naked with a cracked glass graphic effect covering her genitals.

From the ban by IWF, and the IWF blacklist which was used by the majority of U.K. Internet service providers, resulted in many of UK Wikipedia editors (which consist of 1/4 of total Wiki editors) and readers can’t access the site.

Wikipedia responded that the image has been used for “decades and had never been deemed illegal”, and calls for “transparency and accountability” for such watchdog world over.

But now it’s all good after IWF received I believe thousands of appeals and pleas.
