He has done it again. George Hotz is the teen hacker who unlocked the original iPhone. And now the 19 year old has claimed he has created an app that can “jailbreak” the iPhone 3G S. For the clueless, jailbreak means you can install third-party ‘unapproved’ software on an iPhone. The app called purplera1n was created on the fly, as claimed by Hotz, who said it it didn’t take him that long to hack the iPhone 3G S. His program was released last week and is set to work on Windows-based computers, the latest version of iTunes and latest iPhone 3.0 software. Maybe Apple should employ this kid eh, so as to keep tabs of him.
