December 23rd, 2008 in Laptops, Ubuntu by Uncle Sha

An American college girl is claiming Dell and Ubuntu as the reason for her dropping out of her college education.

It seems having a laptop is part of the course requirement.

Once her Dell laptop which was installed with Ubuntu OS arrives, it seems, she can’t launch her Windows only softwares.

Her rationale is that, since she can’t do her school work on the laptop, she might as well dropped out of college.

Hmm this is what I call a dumb blonde. Sorry for being sexist, but being ignorant is not a valid reason.

We all know Windows is an OS, and Ubuntu is another form of OS. If you don’t, then you should ask around.

If only she would have called into the online support for help, or actually reading up before purchasing and ordering the right laptop itself, and this might not happened in the first place.

I think people are just too Windows orientated.

I think this all sounds too fishy, I think she already made up her mind on quitting, even before this confusion. That’s what I think.
