Series mountain bikes land speed has been broken by Markus Stoeckl at a new mark of 130.7mph.
Yes it’s a bicycle at that speed!
Nicknamed “Hercules”, he put on a drag-less outfit equipped for speed.
He then rolled down the 2000m stretch of the Chilean Alps in 45 degress incline downwards and broke the previous record by 14mph
The record took just 40 seconds to complete
He used a light weight hi-tech mountain bike to complete his historic run
