Huawei’s first Android-powered smartphone was officially announced last week at the Mobile World Congress (MWC). But it seems the Chinese company has a hands-off policy at its booth and the phone was only for display at the MWC. So there’s still speculation on the Huawei Android phone, especially which carriers would be selling it. But word has it T-Mobile and Brazil’s TIM had reached a deal with Huawei. It is unsure the phone is for T-Mobile USA or Europe, and TIM has a large Brazilian user-base of around 35 million. It is said the Android touchscreen handset will be ready for first shipments in the third quarter of 2009.
