Samsung Electronics has revealed their eco-friendly touchscreen phone called ‘Blue Earth’.

Powered by solar, the phone and even the charger is made from recycled plastic PCM extracted from water bottles.

It is 100% free from harmful substances during production.

There’s a solar panel at the back of the phone. You can make calls effortless without being cut off ever due to low battery power, as long as the sun is out.

There’s even a cool built-in pedometer to tell you how much CO2 emission you’ve saved by walking instead of driving.

No price has been set yet and more details of the specs are still sketchy.

All I know is that it will first be released in the UK during second half of 2009.
