Nokia N86 8MP saw its debut in Europe this summer and will be making its way to the states soon enough. Slated to be introduced the coming weeks, the dual-slider phone is the next-gen replacement to its popular predecessor N85.
This is Nokia’s first use of its 8 megapixel camera, and this baby will set you back by $558 smackaroos!. The N86 8MP runs on Symbian S60 Feature Pack 2 (v3.2) model and features a dual slider design is flanked by a numerical keypad at the bottom and media/game-centric buttons at the top.
You’ll get an AM-OLED screen which displays at QVGA (320 by 240 pixel) resolution, but the one thing I’m sure you’ll be satisfied is the 8 megapixel camera Carl Zeiss Tessar lens, which promises better quality image, with its variable aperture feature which is touted to collect more light.
Record videos at 30 fps and manage all your media files with its management software, and the luxury of an 8 GB of flash memory built in. It supports microSDHC cards up to 16 GB.
It is a quad-band GSM device with support for UMTS/HSDPA. It got the usual bells and whistles such as Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 2.0+EDR, GPS receiver and a built-in compass.
