Toshiba Corporation has plans to build 2 digital tuners hybrid recorder calls the “VARDIA” (vuarudeia)

W record of hi-vision program is now possible and four models of the hybrid set for release this October and November.

The models range from “RD-S601″, “RD-S301″, “RD-E301″ and “RD-W301″. The price range is within 120,000 Yen for the flagship “RD-S601″ and estimated 90,000 Yen for the rest of the models

The hybrid main features is its ability to record HDD, DVD and VHS, and come with a hefty 300GB drive. Plus the Ethernet jack, a DV input and i.LINK in the specs
